Jason’s Cradle visited the Sea-Watch 5 whilst under refit in Flensburg. We wanted to donate a unit for use on her POB FRB and also a Jason’s Cradle Rigid Scramble net to enable a safe transition of casualties from FRB to main vessel.
Garth and Clive met with the crew who were able to discuss their particular unique requirements as an immigrant rescue vessel. The Scramble Net unit was then adjusted on site and stand offs added to facilitate an easier climb for exhausted casualties.
The Sea-Watch 5 will soon have completed her refurb and be heading back to the Mediterranean to carry on the work begun by the previous vessels of the Sea-Watch organisation.
Jason’s Cradle are happy and proud to be able to have contributed in some small way to the great work carried out by the brave crews of Sea-Watch.
